The Bowman Arts Centre is pleased to present "Garden of Spirits" by Marcella Cooper. This suite of paintings uses the motif of the flower as a metaphor for an individual's ability to grow, blossom and bloom, even when planted amongst adversity.
"Garden of Spirits" takes place in solidarity with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A portion from the sale of each art work will be donated to the YWCA Harbour House which has been providing crisis beds for women and children escaping abusive environments since 1981.
The opening reception is Saturday, November 3, from 7pm - 9pm.
Everyone is welcome.
The exhibition runs until January 19, 2013.
